Every Monday night for the last 15 years, the Bluebird Cafe has opened its doors and allowed songwriters to play two songs at Open Mic. This show features 24 songwriters whose names are drawn, lottery style, from a pool of 40 or 50 who want to play. They are the young hopefuls, trying to make it in Nashville, Tennessee as songwriters and performers. They come to the Bluebird Cafe to try out their songs in front of a live audience and to meet other writers, singers and players. They learn through the Open Mic system how to perform, which songs touch an audience, and most of all, patience. Please join us for this May 29, 2000 event.
